Craig Chaplin | About

Craig Chaplin was born in Perth, Ontario, where he got his start in film and video by working as an assistant editor for multiple Hunting/Cooking shows for broadcast on WildTV.

He then attended Niagara College, where he graduated from the Broadcasting for Radio, Television and Film program, specializing in Film Production and Cinematography.

After independently creating promotional videos in the Perth region, Craig moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan as a Technical Producer with Overtime Communications/Southwest TV News. While there he was able to cover such events as Grey Cup 101 in Regina, the Royal Visit to Swift Current, international events like Hometown Hockey and the Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, and much more.

As a producer Craig was also instrumental in producing many short documentaries for SaskTel Local OnDemand. These documentaries varied greatly in subject matter, from history, to storm chasing, kite festivals, curling, and even mental health and domestic violence.

In Toronto, Craig has worked in the visual effects industry as a Screening Room Operator in the editorial department for Mr. X FX, where he has worked on such projects as How It Ends, Antlers, The Boys, American Gods Season 2, and Curb Your Enthusiasm among others.
